Error on Win7 x86 - Logfile get's written to VirtualStore

Hello I noticed that the Windows version runs in to the VirtualStore if it tries to save the bleachbit.exe.log
C:\Users\\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\BleachBit

It would be nice if it would follow MS guidelines and write it to %AppData%\BleachBit\bleachbit.exe.log to prevent Visualization.

Thanks for the report. I confirm the problem on Windows 7 and BleachBit 0.8.1. I think this happens only when all these criteria are met

  1. System is Windows 7 (and maybe also Vista)
  2. The user denies the UAC dialog forcing BleachBit to run in non-privileged (non-administrator) mode
  3. There is a certain kind of runtime error

This is related to how py2exe 0.6.9 (a dependency of BleachBit) handles errors. I agree this should be fixed (probably by not writing to the disk at all), but there is probably not enough time for the next release.
