Will clean the History and Cache if I will use a Portable version of Firefox browser ??

I need to clean all the privacy files of my Portable browser that I use, Firefox. I dont have it installed on my PC, I have Chrome installed, but I want to know if its possible to clean the History files of the Portable Firefox. Thankyou !!

delete Firefox history

BB doesn't seem to remove all of the Firefox history. I visited www.napaonline.com , closed Firefox , ran BB. When I started Firefox again, I searched for Napa auto parts in the Firefox Google search box. The results returned by Google for www.napaonline.com were highlighted , showing that I visited that site already. Running BB should have removed the history, right? I don't get it. Why does this happen? I'm using BB 0.9.3, Firefox 14.0.1 and Linux Mint 11.
thanks,

Find browser (Firefox) profiles in non-default locations

Tried to create launchpad acct - failed several times. So...

Requesting that BleachBit add the ability to find all Mozilla profiles for current user (either limited user or admin) in default & non-default locations. Bleachbit currently can't find Firefox / Mozilla profiles in non default locations.

Contrary to what some might think, a large number of Firefox users move profiles to other partitions for a variety of reasons.
Mozilla deems it common enough to have a KB dedicated to instructions how to move profiles.

Items & files cleaned under BleachBit's Firefox "site preferences"

Which file(s) in current Firefox 12 are cleaned by checking "site preferences" in BB 0.9.2?
The wording in BB UI beside that entry is "Settings for individual sites." OK...

In Firefox's Clear Private Data, the "Site Preferences" means the site cookie exceptions (stored in permissions.sqlite), which you usually DON'T want to delete. It's a stupid way for Mozilla to name it in Clear History. As for BB's definition of "site preferences," I'm not sure what all it includes or which files are involved.

Thanks.

Cleaning Firefox & evercookies - profile in non default location

Read in another post that BB doesn't find Firefox profiles in non-default locations. Is there any way around this? Yes, the path(s) are in profiles.ini. Regarding a comment made that "99% of Firefox users use default profile location" - I'd disagree. Mozilla thinks enough users are interested to create KBs how to move the profile. This isn't meant as an insult, but CCleaner has no problem finding all profiles in all locations, so it is possible. I'm assuming you just haven't gotten around to adding that capability.

[BUG REPORT] BleachBit (Linux) erases settings of add-on 'WebMail Notifier' in Firefox 11.0

I am using BleachBit 0.8.8 on Kubuntu 11.10 64-bit, with Firefox 11.0.

BleachBit erased the settings of Firefox add-on WebMail Notifier, i.e. all my webmail accounts were wiped from WebMail Notifier. It's not a tragedy, as I can quickly set them up again. However, I wanted to report this as a bug.

Recent versions of Firefox perhaps are automatically vacuumed at idle time

I posted this in support hoping for clarification but it seems that it should not have been posted in that section as it has n/a after it. I hope the discussions section can help.

Query regarding Vacuum of Firefox 11 profile using Bleachbit 0.9.2 in Windows 7..

I do not understand why Bleachbit Vacuum saves 8.2mb of disc space when Firefox is not running but on loading Firefox the file size reverts back to how it was before vacuum was run at 10.2mb.

Vacuum 8.2MB C:\Users\Username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\3jki4zf92.default\places.sqlite
Disk space recovered: 12.8MB

F1 Firefox Extension

Love BleachBit, most useful program.

I am having a problem with the F1 Extension in Firefox.

This is a brief description of what it does : F1 is a browser extension that allows you to share links in a fast and fun way. Share links from within the browser, from any web-page, using the same services you already know and love.

So when you set F1 up, it ask to link itself to Facebook, Twitter, Linked etc..etc.. and then its shares pages wherever you wish.

When i run Bleachbit, it loses all its settings, so next time i try to share anything all info has to be re-entered.

Firefox "Crash Reports" there's a bug that prevents us from deleting them (yea, I am sure it's a "bug..."}

I always delete that file, so after I run BB I have to go and delete this directory. Can you have BB delete this completely?

Also, I know "Places" has bookmark backups data and other things, but I know how to make my own bookmark backups, so can we get a "checkbox" to delete that? Sure, make us sign away our future liability or whatever, but those of us who know, know...

Mozilla's "Rapid Release" program - How is BleachBit development affected?

As much as it seems counterproductive (well it did work for GM - for a while) to release a new version on a schedule, and yes, many of the "new versions" will just be bugfixes with a new number, how is this going to affect BleachBit?
In a few weeks , the MoFo folks are going to EOL Firefox 3.1 (they have already done this to FF4) and we all will be forced into FF5+.
(Or, maybe not... https://wiki.mozilla.org/WeeklyUpdates/2011-07-11#Firefox_Current_.283.6... )
So for now, what is the current tested compatibility of BleachBit with FF5 and beyond?
